which disposable nursing pads

did you ladies recommend? I have to buy another shipment from Amazon.  I've been using the Lansinoh but not super impressed, they are very itchy.

Re: which disposable nursing pads

  • I have the same issue with them, and have found Medela ones to be more comfortable.

  • I was just going to ask this question. I've found the Lanisoh ones to be good for day time, but I manage to wake up with a completely wet shirt every morning. I'm wearing the Johnson and Johnson ones now, which are better for nights, but they can soak through my shirt during the day. Ugh, I leak way too much.

  • I'm leaky too...I change them about every hour!
  • I have tried both the Lansinoh and Johnson & Johnson. The Lansinohn make me itchy too but I like the two sticky tabs because they stay in place better. The J&J ones will sometimes stick to my nipples after a feeding and I have to pull them off before the next, it doesn't hurt at all but sometimes leaves little threads still attached. J&J just has one sticky tab, so they don't stay put as well and will get kinda of wonky sometimes. They also have an indention for your nipple on the inside which makes a nipple looking part on the outside, not a big deal until the pad shifts and it looks like you have a nipple on the side of your boob. I don't leak a ton so I can't really compare in that aspect.

  • I've had good luck with NUK, Gerber brand.  But I still like my cotton ones too

  • During the day I use the Nuk ones.  They are sooo thin but hold a TON of liquid.  It's pretty amazing - I keep one on one side while nursing and it holds it all.  I use cotton diapers (prefolds) at night - I sleep with no shirt on because it was always wet when I woke up.  I sleep on the diapers and I've always been dry as can be when I wake up.

  • I love the johnson and johnson. I was using the medela ones but found they crinkled under my shirt and I hate that!

  • I leak a lot and prefer the lansinoh or Medela ones, for when I go into public.  They don't seem to hold me overnight, but since they are thinner and contoured, they lay nice.  I've found that J/J and others to make it look like "rocket b00bies" because they are so thick- so i don't wear them in public- just around the house.

  • Have you considered the Lily Padz - I know they arent disposable but I love them. They havent hurt my milk supply and you will still leak if you go too long, however, it is a HUGE improvement and you can even swim in them.

This. I like them a lot. Very soft, hard to see through shirts. I thought the Lansinoh ones were hella itchy also.

  • thanks for asking this! i will need to try the J&J and Nuk ones. I can tell you not to bother with the Tommee Tippee ones, they are just as itchy as the Lansinoh. I think I even prefer the Lansinoh, and I didnt really like those ( itchy to the point of pain). I do have to agre with PP about the Lily Padz. I dont use them too often, but they are a nice break, and I love that I don't have to wear a bra with them at night. I also have to recomend the Bamboobies. I bought them and lo e them... its just a lot to wash because the ones for the daytime only last me a few hours. ...Yes... I overspent looking for some relief when I was up at some aweful hour after a feeding, and surfing amazon while sore.

  • I like Johnson & Johnson and NUK brands.  They seem much softer than the Lansinoh brand.
