Putting LO in front of the TV to cut their nails. I don't remember who it was, but someone mentioned this earlier today when they were describing their LO's TV habits. I had never thought about putting the two together, but holy crap, it works! I put on Jeopardy (cause you can't get more quality programming than that) and I was able to cut her nails on both hands at the same time, for the first time ever!

So thank you to the person who brought that up, and if you are having issues with nail cutting, it's worth a shot.

    I did the same thing after I read it! LO loves to watch Hockey! So I DVR'd the Stanley Cup Playoffs(woo, BOSTON!!!) and it worked!

    That's a good idea!  I cut LO's while DH feeds him so he's pretty distracted, but it requires DH to be there.  If ever I'm alone and I need to cut his nails, I'll put the TV on.

    Same here.  I try to do it when one of us is feeding her as a distraction as well.

    I cut her nails while she is sleeping/napping.  Never tried that TV? Hum

    I also do it while she's sleeping or dh does it when she nurses.

    That's an amazing idea! I'll have to try that, instead of asking the lady at daycare to do it because I'm a puss and don't want to cut her.  Embarrassed
