Well I have bad news and a tiny bit of good news

Good news first. I'm not pregnant. Not that I suspected at all. But since the hospital's ER needed to know this before I had x-rays I received this news. The nurse asked me when my last menstrual cycle was. Lol. June 2010.

Bad news; I'm at the hospital. I have to have surgery. I have a gallstone and so I have to have my gallbladder removed. We got here this morning at 6 and I finally got to a room at 3.

I had the worst night ever. I thought it was food poisoning. Not so much. So I go in for surgery tomorrow and until then I'm on jello and broth diet. Which really really sucks. I hope to get back to work on Tuesday but this ruins my holiday weekend. DH's birthday is the 3rd and so its going to be lame and I wanted to go to the St. Louis Fair on Monday.

At least my office is really understanding.

Yes for not pregnant!

Sorry for the crap weekend. I hope tonight is more comfortable than last night. If I remember correctly, PPC said the same thing happened to her after her first baby, too. Darn pregnancy doing nutty things to our bodies!

Lame!!! I hope that everything goes smoothly and you feel better soon. If you have any concerns at all about any medications you will receive, make sure to talk with the hospital's LC. There should be no reason you cannot continue to breastfeed. Good luck!

Thanks ladies. We do have a plan in place for BF-ing. I'll have to pump and dump at least tomorrow and maybe Thursday because of the the anesthesia but after that I hope to be back to normal feeding. I've talked to them all about it so I hope we are all on board.

As I am sitting here having a mild attack, I can literally feel your pain! I have already had to go to the emergency room once for the pain, and I have a US tomorrow and talk to a surgeon on Thursday. I want this thing out as soon as possible! They gave me Vicodin for the pain, so it has helped. I hope you have a fast recovery!
