no more waking to feed!

so today at the Pedi Finley had gained 2lbs 7oz in THREE weeks. The pedi said I must have some good milk. LOL. She was 6lb 4oz birth and 6lb 3oz at 10 days post birth. She's now 8lb 10.5oz.

I let her know that at night I wake DD every 3.5-4 hrs to feed. Usually just once during the night. She used to wake up around that time anyways but not lately.

Well the pedi told me that I don't have to wake her anymore. If she sleeps six hours, let her. Woo hoo! Last night I woke her for her feeding AND this morning for her Pedi visit. I am so excited to see how long she goes without being woken up!

    Congrats! That is really exciting. Our pedi gave us the go ahead yesterday to do that. I give you props for doing that for well over a month. I only had to wake Avery for a week and was so excited when our pedi said to stop waking him yesterday :)

    Wow, consider me jealous!  Macy is 6 weeks old and still waking up to eat every 2.5-3 hours at night.  Congrats on getting some sleep!

    colour me Green with envy!!!! C used to sleep 4-5 hours at night from week 1 - week3 - now at 4 week he wakes every 2 1/2 -3 hours - can you send some of those sleepy hours over my way!

    im jealous. we dont have to wake ds, but hes up every 2-3 hours and im up more with his grunting noise trying to see if hes hungry or what

    I was thrilled to hear our pedi tell us that after two weeks old she doesn't mind letting DD sleep if she wants to at night.  So far she is a wonderful baby and sleeps a million times better than her brother did so I'm really looking forward to seeing how this works out next week!

    So jealous! I don't have to wake S, she wakes on her own every 2-3 hours. But right now she's going through a growth spurt and wants to nurse every hour!

    This is us too. We've had some marathon sessions lately, but LO lost too much weight at the beginning, so she has a lot of catch up. There's no way she'll be at her birth weight by 2 weeks, so this will keep going for awhile. Sigh. At least it's good for her (and my supply!)
