So I started on my bcp again now that I'm not bfing and seriously what a nightmare! I have had horrible migraines, morning sickness and now a day before we leave on vacation I am breaking out so badly on my chin that it looks like I have mumps!! There isn't any acne that you can actually see its just large lumps on my chin...pretty! They really need to come out with a pill for men!!!

I absolutely hate hormonal pills and stuff. I did Paraguard IUD. No hormones!

I'm on YAZ which is low estrogen there is also mircette get on a low low estrogen brand if you can. I think they are named something else w/ our (MSFT/Medco) insurance.

Mirena....ahh, fabulous.

I'm 99.9% we are done, but once I am truly 100% - DH is getting that sucker snipped - it's like an in-out doctor visit and an ice pack nowadays.

I'm having issues too and I'm on week 3 of the pill. I had my first post-partem period 8 weeks after giving birth, so I started the pill when that was done. I was fine for the first week on the pill, but felt SUPER tired and rage-y. Like, angry. Anyhow, the last 2 weeks now I've had breakthrough bleeding that is like a period. And I'm still exhausted (even more than I had been from just having a newborn). I called my OB and she told me it was normal and it takes time for the hormones to balance out. I don't know - I hate it. I was on BCPs forever prior to TTC and never had any problems - now it's a nightmare. I guess I don't have any words of wisdom, just wanted you to know you aren't alone!

I love Mirena so much I?m nat taking it out after DH gets the snip later this summer.

However, I am currently embarrassed by the state of my chin right now.

I started the pill a few months ago and HATED it. I had bleeding for 3 weeks and it drove me insane so I stopped taking it. Plus I'm terrible at remembering to take it on time every day!

My biggest problem though is that if I'm not on the pill my period and migraines are much worse than when I am on them so I'm sort of stuck with them : (

I would try another pill then. I used to take them for heavy/horrid/painful periods (the BC part was an extra bonus) but that seems to have gotten better as I've gotten older. I hope it works out!

This was me too! I met with my OB and we changed my pill. I have only been on the new one for a week but I can tell their is a huge difference! I would check with your OB and see about getting on a different pill strength.

I can't do the pill, Mirena, depo provera, none of it. I have reactions to them all. I am totally on board with a male bcp! You'd think they'd have come up with by now.

But are we seriously the only ones that use condoms? N doesn't care what we use, as long as he gets some!
