That's the only person I've ever met called Leland. It's unique, I can tell you that much.

I think of Detective Leland Stottlemeyer from Monk. I'm not a huge fan of the name.

Love it. I used to hang out with a guy named Leland when I was a teen. He was smokin' hot, super nice, and if he hadn't been dating one of my best friends, I would have gone after him in a heartbeat. lol

I like it but I must admit the 1st thing that comes to mind is Dog the Bounty Hunter. Probably, because his son is the only Leland I've ever heard of. Never met one IRL.

I love the name Leland, and that was going to be my sons name until MIL kept pushing me to the brink. And the more I heard it the less I liked it. And My daughters name is Lily, so it wouldve sounded the same...or pretty close. We decided on Payton at the last moment and MIL was pissed! (she still is, and my DS is almost 5)

Leland is the name of the Tigers manager, so at least in Michigan it will be associated with baseball.
