And I don't even really care, because I'm so used to not sleeping.
Auds has been waking up an average of 6 times a night for the past 7 nights. Usually she just wants to nurse for a few minutes, then goes right back to sleep.
Last night we tried to have DH give her a bottle on her first wake-up instead of nursing, since I'd just pumped and we were trying to make her sleep longer. Hahahahaha. She screamed...this deep bellowing scream that I've never heard before. She almost sounded raspy and hoarse. But then as soon as she saw me, she stopped screaming and grinned and squirmed to get out of DH's arms. We brought her to bed with us, and she nursed and fell asleep. Nursed her in bed probably 5 more times between 11 pm and 7 am. It's like she's a newborn again!
Meh, I'm done trying to figure out how to fix the abnormal behavior. It'll pass. Til then, apparently we're bedsharing again.
Re: I guess this is the 4 month wakeful?
Wow, sweet child, I feel for you. Do what ya gots ta do! Hopefully it's the 4MW so you can blame it on something? DS just learned to roll and it's keeping me up at night lately (no complaints, just mentioning). You've got the right attitude, it will certainly pass....it has to at some point- hang in there!!
I'm right there with you. I was getting more sleep when DS was a newborn, for real. He was an excellent sleeper until 9 nights ago. When he started waking 4 times a night. Sometimes, for fun, he likes to hang out and be wide awake and loud for an hour and a half.
I hope this passes soon.
