Still Fuming: SYTYCD (spoilers)

I honestly don't know if I'm going to keep watching after last week's elimination.

Ryan and Ricky are my LEAST favorites out of the group. Evetya was definitely top three females for me and Nick was one of my favorite guys too. So, basically they cut a huge portion of their dancer diversity....what do they have left?....Contemp and Beat boys? WEAK!!!

Oh, and I am seriously sick of hearing...you are a beautiful dancer, those legs, those lines, that strength. The only person they said ANYTHING negative about was Wadi. I know they are all good, but geez, if they are all so perfect, why even have the judges?

Ok, done with my rant....what did you think?

    I am still pissed too! Evetta was my bug favorite too! But I probably will still watch.

    I was super annoyed too.  Why say Nick was so so good and then cut him??  You could tell he was super surprised.  :(  He danced with such joy and was my favorite male dancer.  I am sick of Ryan already even though I wanted to like her.  And the "so sexy" women dances give me the willies. :(

    I'm totally annoyed that Clarice made it through last week. I felt like had they done eliminations on the first episode she would have been the one to home which could have saved Iveta from going home this time. There's no way she should have been eliminated.

    I really was never a fan of Evetta so that didn't bother me, but I still can't stand Ryan and clearly all the coreographers love her because she's always in the front of the group dances. I liked Nick, too and think he wouldn't have been in the bottom if it wasn't for Evetta. She's just not particularly likable.

    I was surprised too, especially since they made a big deal about being about to do a big tap number with him onboard.  In the past, they've made cuts to keep diversity, so last week was a pretty big surprise for me.  I want to root for the local girl (Ryan) because she's an alum of my high school, but the faces she makes when she dances are so empty it drives me nuts.  I did not find her the least bit sexy in her "sexy dance".

    I am going to be in minority but I hate Evatta, not exactly sure why but she rubs me wrong. I also really love Ryan and was thrilled she stayed. I said it a week ago and will say it again. I don't like double elimanations. I don't like that they can only save one of each gender from the bottom 3.

    I really disliked Evatta. She looked much older than 30 to me which made her pairings with the young guys seem really creepy. I know that's not her fault but it made it very hard to get into her dancing. She was a great dancer I just don't think this was the right show for her.

    I know they have them dance for their life for a purpose but I think less should ride on that and more should go on what they've done over the course of the show.

    I'm totally with Julie.  I really disliked Evetta!...she really wasn't likeable to me.  Blah personality.  And really...I don't care that she is the champion ballroom dancer in ten different styles.  Over it.  Over her.

    I'll miss the tapper guy but that's the only one I was kinda sad about.

    I agree. Iveta's personality and appearance made her seem like a cougar compared to the other dancers. It has definitely become a show where the younger dancers prosper. I also really like Ryan and don't think she should have even been in the bottom. I would've picked Jess and Clarice for the bottom over Ryan and Ricky. I've watched every single episode ever of sytycd and have even been to a live taping...I can't say this for sure, but I think the judges do take everything into consideration when cutting someone, not just the "dance for your life" solo. I am sad that both Wadi and Nick will no longer be on the show, but Ricky's solo was amazing and I knew there was no way they were going to cut him after that.

    Agreed. I really didn't love Iveta either, but thought that cutting the only ballroom dancer made this show a little less exciting than previous years.

    I was so relieved the first week when they didn't cut anybody, because I thought everyone had done so well the first week...but then I saw how it backfired in week two...I didn't feel all that invested in any of the girls, but I was bummed that they got rid of Nick.

    But I'll definitely keep watching.  SYTYCD is one of the things that makes summer summer.
