Life Jacket/Vest

Ok, please don't flame me or call me crazy for thinking about taking my LO on a boat...

I'm just wondering if any of you have purchased a life jacket or vest for your LO? My LO is about to turn 4 months old (weighs almost 17lbs), and we do some boating each summer. We're only going to take him if we can find a life jacket small enough.  Most of the ones I've found say 0-30 lbs. It just makes me nervous, because I'll have to order one online and can't try it on him before I buy it. Do you have any life jacket/vest recommendations?

    We just bought the Stohlquist Nemo jacket for our 3 month old. It fit really well and she did great in the water.

    No flames here! DD was on her grandpa's boat for the first time at 2 months. She loves the motion (although it's too hot over the summer in FL to be out on the boat since she has to be in the life jacket the entire time). We got a great little life jacket for 0-30 lbs at Sam's Club. It seemed a little big for her at 2 months, but fits well now (she's around 17 lbs and very tall).

    We ended up with the Stohlquist Nemo for our older son after trying a few.  It is expensive but worth every penny.  It was the only one he would wear.  Granted he wore it when he was 9 months but we did try it on our infant recently and it looked like it would work.  The good thing about this one is it is cut lower in the front so it doesn't choke them when they sit down.  I believe it also has a material back (not the thick floatation stuff) so it is more comfortable.  I HIGHLY recommend and will probably use it for our 5 month old this weekend.
