Worried about baby turds?

So last week...my baby pooped a turd.

Then he would have some soft-serve ice cream type poos.

Now, almost all of his poos are formed turds.

He's always been breastfed/formula-supplemented.  Two weeks ago I started weaning him off of the bewbs.  He doesn't seem uncomfortable but I don't want him to get constipated.

A friend told me I should be feeding him more, and he must be dehydrated. I feed on demand but it's pretty much 5 1/2 oz. of formula every 3 hours (except for at night - he sleeps for 10-11 hours).

 Any suggestions?

I never thought I would write the word 'turd' so many times in one post :)

  • Definitely call the pedi. Mine told me poops should not be hard.

  • Agree on the pedi, but also agree on the fluids. It's getting warmer and he may need more water.

    And turd made me lol.
