  Anything with mashes potatoes on the side. Meatloaf, grilled chicken, etc. Steam some broccoli or green beans for the rest of you.

  I would think any bean, pasta, potatoes, rice kind of base would work well...
  
  How about....?
  Baked Potato Bar (lots of little toppings to choose - yummy and cheap)
  Side of veggies w/hummus as the dip
  Chinese chicken and broccoli over rice
  Yellow Pea Soup
  Potato Leek Soup
  Sweet Potato Burritos (We have been eating these and they are a big hit! I made a ton and foil-wrapped them in the fridge, :60 in the microwave and yum!

  ..and 1-ingredient banana ice cream for dessert!

  I'd avoid the cream of mushroom and anything else that has dairy... the doc said that's what messed me up when I got really sick.
