3yo weighing 140lbs

OMG, so on Maury next it is about overweigh babies (todders). OMG, and I'm not talking about babies that have health issues. These babies are just over fed!!! I know that this show is going to piss me off. The one ladies is feeding her 3yo fried chicken and everything other high fat foods.

I feel so bad for these babies, The mothers are just setting them up to be heavy. Sad

And lets discuss.

    I feel like it is the parent's fault, however those kids are not "normal".  There has to be something going on that they are not getting the "I'm full" cues when they should be.  Obviously the parents should not be feeding them crap but the sheer amount that they eat makes me think there is something else at play here.

    My 3 year old weighs 28 pounds.... I cannot.even.imagine. Also there are so many days where she barely eats anything! I can't imagine getting a toddler to eat that much.

    And I thought my 2.5yo was big at 31-32 lbs where he's been hoovering for awhile... but that's 50th % so I'm guessing I have nothing to worry about. And sometimes a treat (like last night we had our once a year KFC dinner) is alright... he didn't like the chicken, but he ate the mashed potatoes and corn. But that's a rareity in our house.

    My nephew is 6 and weighs close to 80lbs. His father is about 6'4 and my sister is 5'10, and he's not fat or overweight or anything, just a very large boned and very tall for his age child. He absolutely LOVES football, so we're hoping he's going to be a great linebacker someday :)

    Now that being said, the 140lb 3 year old, how does that even happen??? I agree with PP that maybe there is something medical going on behind the scenes, on top of the horrible parenting feeding a 3 year old fried chicken, seriously?? Are the parents overweight too I wonder?
