Hey guys!
I just got back from our infertility appointment yesterday. The doc has put me on provera to start my period and then I'll be taking clomid to induce ovulation. After doing some research online with Clomid I noticed several sites mentioned that it can cause little to no CM and/or "hostile" cm? This concerns me considering you kind of need that to get pregnant?
Can any one help me out or maybe from your own personal experience as to if this is true? Or what you have heard/know about Clomid?
Thanks in advance for any help
Re: Clomid and CM
Yes, Clomid can have negative affects on CM. If I were you I'd try something like PreSeed since it mimic's fertile cm. And also please please please make sure you're monitored while on Clomid. You should have a baseline u/s and b/w and then a follie check around CD10-12 and as many more as it takes to confirm mature follies.
Clomid is also known for causing cysts, thinning the uterine lining, and HOM which is why it's so important to be monitored! Good luck!
That is great to know!!
Thanks so much.
I will be getting blood work done to confirm ovulation on CD 21, but I was not aware of the other things that needed to be monitored but I will check with my doc about those.
Thanks again!
