spotting after positive opk

hi,

i'm 33 years old and my husband and i have been married for 2 years in july.  we just started trying last month (also went off the ring in may too).  trying to get a sense of my cycles.   started using opk this month as i had spotting (fairly heavy) on day 19 last month.  got a positive opk this month and had loads of sex, but heavy spotting again on day 18-21.  anyone else with this issue?

    Mid-cycle spotting (could possibly be ovulation spotting) is pretty common. I don't personally have this issue but plenty around here do. Good luck!

    Some women spot around ovulation.  If you're spotting is prolonged and you've been having lots of sex, you might have caused some irritation, too.  Sometimes, spotting just happens with no real explanation. If you're concerned, talk to your doctor.

    Just caught that you've been off of hormonal BC for a month.  It could take a couple of months for your hormones to regulate and that could also be causing some break-through bleeding.

    thanks ladies, i'll look at the other thread.  just to clairify, positive opk on day 15, spotting days 18-21.  a load is once a day (at least for us) :)
