E-Mail for baby?

I recently set up a G-Mail account for my daughter. There is so much I want to say to her at this stage in her life, and I have been meaning to write her letters since she was born. But, I am terrible at sitting to write it all out (her baby book is still in a bunch of pieces). I figure e-mail would be easier to keep up with when I'm on the computer anyway. I can write my feelings as I watch her play, post pictures for her to look at later, etc. I think it would be special for her to read about my love for her when she was still so small. 

My question is: Will this come back to bite me one day?

I'm a little anxious about security. I'm even afraid to post her pictures here since anyone can view posts. Also, I found out at 17 that someone had been using my SSN to set up phone service in various parts of the state that I had never been too. 

I want to protect her identity as much as possible. Is there any way having an e-mail address in her name could make her more vulnerable to identity thieves?  I am only moderately tech-savvy.

    I'm not very tech-savy, but if you're worried, why not use a paper journal? That way you don't have to worry about anything. I actually would be more worried that Gmail won't exist in 18 years, rather than email security.

    This is probably what I should do, but I am really bad about stuff like that, it's just part of my personality, I lack follow through on certain things, writing being one of them.

    I've never thought about it not being around still in the future. Hmm.

    I already started the the account. It is linked to my regular e-mail account and uses my birthday, but I did attach her first name to it. I wonder if I can delete and start over.

    This. Plus you could use an online backup service. I can't advise you about their security, bur I was just thinking about longevity. My hard drive with all the pics from David's birth to about a month ago crashed. It was supposes to automatically back up but it didn't.

    PG#1 - 3rd cycle BFP. Team Green. HELLP syndrome @ 34 weeks.
    Later diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, possible link to HELLP.

    PG#2 M/C 3/14 - Surprise BFP 2/13. Beta's doubled every 52 hours from 3w5d-5w5d
    Viable pregnancy scan at 5w5d; 2nd u/s showed 2 days of growth in 7 but a HB of 120
    3rd u/s on 3/10/14 had no HB and baby had only grown 7 days over 14
    D&C 3/17/14 - complications - DX Retroflexed uterus, multiple tears to cervix
