Re: Weekly Meal Plans

  • The only thing I have for this week is:

    Pork chops

    Sloppy Joes, baked fries

    Steaks, lemony potatoes

We're probably going out for my niece's birthday Thursday. So I just need one more thing, but it has to be something that's easy to do leftovers with so DH can take to work the next day for him and his coworker. (Once a week, DH takes leftovers to work for him and his coworker. I've done, meatloaf, chicken pot pie, and lasagna, and having a hard time coming up with something else!)

  • We are on vaca this week and mostly eating out, but to keep the kids on their schedules I'm planning for us to eat at the condo a few times.  I refuse to turn on the stove though, so here's what we are doing:

On Friday I made some pulled pork for tacos.  I brought it with us, some corn tortillas, greek yogurt, an avocado, and some salsa verde.  We had that last night when we got here.
For this week, I bought a rotisserie chicken, some pre-made hard boiled eggs, more avocado, lettuces, bread, tomatoes, blue cheese, etc.  I am going to make cob salads one night and cob salad sandwiches another night.
We are going out to dinner on Wednesday.
Planning to eat lunches out and eat at the condo so we can put the kids to bed early.

is this from the martha stewart food magazine? if so we did the salad last week and it was soooo good we never got to use the leftovers for the sandwiches. my husband who is anti-salad for dinner loved it!

Yes it is!  I dog eared a bunch of stuff from it to make this week, but I've decided not to make much.  I did make the turkey kebabs last week though and they were delish.

  • we did the shrimp boil kebabs two nights ago and they were awesome! plus i did the broiled tofu and while i didn't like it a whole bunch, the kiddo inhaled it.
