Sleeping Question

So I was just wondering how much does your baby sleep during the day? DS just seems like he is sleeping so much to me. I know he is a baby and they require alot of sleep but he has been sleeping all night and he is only up for like 1hr or 1hr and half maybe sometimes 2 and then he is back asleep for 3 hrs and then up again and so on. While he is awake he is very alert and happy and he smiles and does LOTS of kicking and waving of his arms which is tiring and hard work for them i know, but I am curious how much does your baby sleep during the day? He is 10 weeks and 4 days old.

    Mine has a nap every hour and a half... sometimes for 1/2 hour, hour or two depending. You could be starting the 3 month growth spurt early, I'm noticing she konks out pretty heavy now and is getting more sleep than usual. She is also kicking and waving a ton, maybe that is totally exhausting for them Smile

    Mine usually cat naps an hour to an hour and a half after she eats. She'll sleep for 30-45 mins and then she is up and ready to party again. I miss the hour and a half naps she used to take just because I can rarely get anything done, but she's so darn cute, it doesn't matter!

    I suppose it could be a growth spurt, never thought of that. He sure has chunked up here the past few weeks :) Well he was 9 15 to start but now he is filling out more and more everyday. I can't get over how big he is laready!  I am sure things are fine maybe I'll just mention it to the pedi. at his next check-up. And I must agree the long naps are great for getting things around the house done and some alone time with DS #1.
