making your own baby food?

If i wanted to make my own carrots, sweet potatoes, or bananas? can i just puried them and store them? How long does fresh puried food last?

    I used that website and it has a lot of great info.  I make all my dd food. All I do is steam them until they are tender enough to puree and then puree in my food processor.  If it is too thick I add a little of the steaming water to it.  So far we have done Bananas, Butternut Squash, Peaches and Carrots.  The only thing I did not steam was the bananas.  I just would mash them up with a fork and add a litte formula to it so that she could eat.
