So I'm curious, I've been lurking on this board for awhile but I just starting replying to posts this last month. I've noticed that if someone posts a BFP and they are a newbie it may not go over all that well. I completely understand that if someone has never posted on this board and then all of a sudden writes a BFP post it can be a bit obnoxious.
My question is what do you all feel is a long enough time that it is okay to post a BFP on the board and not be considered a drive-by?

Yep, listen to the birthday girl.
IVF #1 with ICSI - ER 1/20 (16R, 12M, 10F), ET 1/23 (1-10 cell and 1-8cell transferred), BFP on 1/31 Beta #1 on 2/3 = 68, Beta #2 on 2/6 = 261 EDD 10/12/12
I didn't want this post to seem like I'm about to make a BFP post and want to make sure it's okay I really just was curious... I mean I am only 5 DPO but I know I'm pregnant bc I did all the right things (stood on head after sex, used soft cups, held pee for 48 hours after sex, etc.)
And yes I do intend on participating in the July siggy pic so you all don't have to look at the silly blue flower pic!

Optimism is fabulous, but
There are many of us who "did all the right things" for months or years and are still here. So careful with that.
The blue flower is your avatar pic. You can change that anytime by editing your profile. Your sig pic is the large pic that appears at the bottom of your posts.
ETA: Oh, you might have been kidding.

I LOL'd at that as well. It seems that she has in fact been lurking and learned all the special tricks!
Oh wow, I was completely being sarcastic I guess that didn't come across as well in the post!
Not your fault. I automatically stop reading when I see "I know I'm pregnant because I did all the right things." I didn't even see what all those "right things" were.

I'm lucky if I can hold my pee for 48 minutes... ever. ;-)
I laughed out loud when I read this and I think because of this post I won't forget you lol so if you post a BFP you won't get a flame from me
