I have been putting my 13lb LO in the bumbo for a few minutes here and there and I basically need to pry her out cause her little thighs get stuck. It's sort of funny and she is not in pain but I am wondering - what is the weight limit for this thing. I mean she only weighs 13lb!
Anyone else?

Re: bumbo and chunky thighs
I've been seeing that problem a lot around these boards. I thought I'd try it anyway, so we bought one for DS over the weekend.
He's about 15/16 pounds and he has some pretty meaty thighs, but he doesn't get stuck.

We couldn't do the Bumbo, so we tried this and DS loves it.

Yes! This exactly! My LO has chunky legs too. He gets stuck in the bumbo at daycare, but he has plenty of spare leg room in this seat. And he loves the tray with toys.
Same here. When I pick up DS to take him out of his Bumbo the seat comes with him. It pops off easy, though, and like you said, he's in no pain. And when he is in the Bumbo, his legs have room...it's just the getting in and out part.
Oh, and he's 14 lbs. 11 oz.
Having the same problem over here!
I usually do tons of research before buying a product but I didn't with this and just took friends suggetsions. Those alternate seats look more comfy for these babes that are carrying their weight in their thighs.
I laughed when someone posted about the seat coming with the baby when you try to get him out. That is exactly where we are at. It's awful but it makes me giggle.
This is how it is with X. He didn't seemed phased when the seat came with him but when I started laughing at the situation he started bawling.
