I go to see my grandma every 2-3 days because she has dementia, and every time I'm there she tells me these stories:
-She had 2 babies in 1 year. One was born in Jan, and one was born in Dec. They are the same age for 3 weeks.
-She is one of 10 kids, and her mom nursed all 10 of them.
-She fed her kids Carnation milk.
Not so fun fact:
She had 4 girls and 1 boy. The boy died when he was a day old. But they didn't tell her, they called my grandpa and he had to come tell her.
Re: Here's some fun facts
And this is the reason I wish my grandparents were still alive. I love listening to their stories of "way back when." Soak it up!!!
Awww! I love all of those fun facts. And so sad about your uncle.
She fed her kids Carnation milk? Like in bottles, when they were babies, instead of nursing? I love all the crazy things that our parents and grandparents did that we would never do today!
Yes! I don't know how she fed it to them, but she always asks me what I feed K-if it's canned milk or my milk. Lol.
Fun fact:
My grandmother also had 2 babies in 1 year -- one in jan and one in dec
My grandmother also feed her kids carnation milk (mixed with karo syrup)
Are we related? haha!
(JK! it was my paternal grandmother so obviously not possible)
