Why does DH forget everything? (vent)

In the last couple days...he forgot to finish the molding, forgot to send back the coffee that got sent to him because he forgot to cancel his order, forgot to call about some money we are supposed to be getting and need, forgot to call the vet, forgot to pick up the chicken broth when it's all I asked him to get, regularly forgets to pick up after himself...

And, if I ask him to do anything, I am nagging him. Am I supposed to do EVERYTHING myself?

    From what my DH says men just do not think like women.  My reply to that is... isn't a good thing we do think.  For example, he would not have clean towels in the kitchen or bathroom, toilet paper in the bathrooms, clean sheets/pillow cases, etc.  Apparently we have a cleaning fairy in this house because someone cleans the floors, baseboards, counters, etc.  Oh wait, that's me!

    I have a really really bad memory. DH's isn't great but it's way better than mine. He told me from the very beginning that he would remember for the both of us. <3 but I am a definite list person. If for nothing else, my own sanity so at least I don't feel like i forgot anything. But I make them for cleaning, "honey-do's", groceries, various work related tasks. They keep me sane..

    Some guys HATE this, but DH knows his memory is like a sive, so I write him lists, or text him lists of things I need him to do. For example: at some point today I have to text him "Go to the post office". He works up the street from it and passes it on his way to and from work but if I didn't text him to remind him, he'd totally forget to stop and come right back home with the package still in his bag.

    Lists lists and more lists.  That is the only way DH remembers anything.
