Uh oh. I guess she's down for the night??

DD was at our friend's house today while I had an all-day work training. I picked her up at 4 and found out she hadn't gone down for her second nap. I figured it was a little late once we got home by 4:30, but decided to put her down for her nap so she wouldn't be crabby for the next few hours.

She's still sleeping! I guess I should have woken her up about 6:30 to do dinner, etc. but I kept thinking she was going to wake up any minute. Now it's 8:42. I guess she's down for the night? At least I hope she is. Because the other option would be for her to wake up sometime between now and 6am and think it's time to play and eat and hang out. This should be interesting...

  • I wouldn't wake her.  She might get up early in the am, but hopefully not in the middle of the night. Whenever Liam gets off his sleep schedule and is overtired, we do a "super early bed time" (from Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child) and it always works like a charm and he gets a nice long night's sleep.   Haven't done it in a while, but it used to mean putting him to bed at 5:30!  Hope it works out for you!!

  • It's so hard to decide if and when to wake a baby! I hope she stays down for you. I probably would have woken her up for dinner. But my kids go to bed late. Get some sleep yourself!!

  • OK, it's 9:40. I'm going to bed and hoping for a full night's sleep. I better have breakfast ready FAST though. Poor girl is going to be starvin'.
