Can you figure out how many gallons of water a pool holds by knowing its circumfrence and depth in inches? I teach second grade, this is beyond my scope lol.

I believe that it depends on the shape of the pool.
I had to figure it out once for my parents in-ground pool after my boyfriend (now my husband ) turned off the wrong valve and EMPTIED THE ENTIRE POOL while we were house-sitting.

Re: Any math gurus in the house?
How big of a pool are we talking?
My 27' above ground pool holds roughly 14k gallons. (4.5 ft deep I believe)
Try this link...it even does the math for you! I found it when we moved into a house w/ an above ground pool that needed a ton of water. https://www.pool1.com/pool_gallon_calculator.htm HTH!
