Re: **Mrs.Um**

  • He is doing well! He's going back to work tomorrow! He just finished his last dose of meds and had a clear chest x-ray.

Thanks for asking. Big Smile I appreciate it.

  • That's so great!  I can only imagine how scary that was.  So, besides that, has your summer been uneventful like it should be?

  • It's been good. I have the week of a thousand doctor's appointments coming up, though. I have my follow up from my surgery, my second opinion RE, and accupuncture, all in the next tow days.

How's your summer going? Done with summer school?

  • Summer school is done on Friday!  WOOHOO  I think this is my last year doing it.

I have an appt on Wednesday (b/w and internal u/s).  Next Friday we have a follow-up with the RE.  Then next Saturday is MH's 30th birthday.  July 18th we leave for Napa Valley/San Fran for 6 days to celebrate our anniversary!

Side question:  I know you've had a lap done, ever had a hysterscopy (sp?) done?

  • Awesome! Enjoy your trip!

And, yes I did have a hysteroscopy. But, they did it during my lap, so I really can't give you too much info.

  • Hmmm...I'll settle for a WWMrsUmm do instead  Wink

Try a med to get rid of "possible polyps" (with a 50/50 shot of them going away) and repeat SHG to see if they are gone.  If not gone--do the hysteroscopy.

    OR

    Just do the hysteroscopy

  • Based on my situation, I would just go ahead and do it. But then, my situation was anything but normal. My doc gave me the option to do the lap/hyst/d&c or not, because I had so few symptoms. The only major ones I had were O pain and LP spotting. He suspected that they wouldn't find much, but I was so frustrated that I decided to do it. After having few random cysts on u/s and a clear HSG, they didn't expect much.

I ended up with both ovaries full of cysts, both tubes inflammed, and stage 3 endo with adhesions all over both ovaries (they couldn't separate them from my abdomanal wall).

So, yeah...I would do it. It's the best shot for a definite answer.

I'm leaning towards it too--and really hoping he'll let me decide said he said he could go either way on which one to have me do..  Why wait 2 months for a maybe if I can do it in one and move on.  Plus, 2 months from now is the beginning of the school year and I just don't want to risk the timing and maybe having to take time off--that just isn't possible so early in the year.

  • Yeah, that makes sense. That's one of the reasons I had mine in June, 3 days after school was out.
