Woo hoo! Actually on a Monday for once!

you'd like to pledge a number of books to read, feel free - its not
required. This is all for fun.

Haaaaaaaaaa! I love it.
my update: kj07 - 2 out of 3 (Brick Road by Monica Ali)
Whoo, finished book 2 in less than half the time of book 1. Of course, book 2 had far fewer pages, which certainly helped. But with White Tiger (book 2) I was usually reluctant to put it down and be responsible by going to sleep at a reasonable time and with The Lacuna (book 1) it wasn't nearly as hard to stop reading.
I would completely recommend White Tiger. It's a first-person narrative about the makings of a self-declared entrepreneur in India.
Next up is possibly Brick Road by Monica Ali. If I don't get into it fairly quickly then I think I'm going to see if I can find a used copy of The Golden Compass. All this talk of young adult lit reminded me that I've wanted to read that for a while.

Haha I bet I can guess what your four books will be!

I finished A Daughter's Inheritance (the first book in the series of 3). I'm now on the 2nd book which is called "An Unexpected Love" by by Tracie Peterson and Judith Pella. Excited to read the 2nd book and get to the 3rd and final one hopefully in the next week or so.
Ok, so I've been bad at checking in (sorry!) I couldn't bring myself to start Pretty Little Things, so it's back in my "to be read sometime this decade pile".
However, since my last check in, I finished Baby-Led Weaning by Gill Rapley & Tracey Murkett and The Nonrunner's Marathon Guide for Women by Dawn Dais.
Now, I'm starting Magic Hour by Kristin Hannah, so I'm 4 out of 10
I gave up on my first summer reading choice, it wasn't fast paced enough to keep my interest since I'm pretty much exclusicvely reading while pumping. I did manage to finish my replacement book: "Relic" by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, and moved on to the Sequel: "Reliquary."
I really enjoyed "Relic" the plot moved quickly and it was an easy read, and since I went to grad school for archives and museum studies, I really appreciated the museum aspect to it.

I am now 2 out of 10, having finished Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin.
Right now I'm reading A Clash of Kings, which is the sequel to Game of Thrones. I'm not sure what to read after this, I could continue the series or pick something completely new. I guess we'll see when I'm done.
I finished 'Stories I Only Tell My Friends'
Now reading: Heaven is for Real by Todd Burpo
Oops, I went and changed my s/n on you...now I am SapphireKat18 instead of TBLilyRose.
I finished Water for Elephants and loved it! I'm looking forward to getting the movie on Netflix just to see how they did with the story. I always like comparing books/movies even if 95% of the time the book is better.
Currently re-reading Summer Sisters by Judy Blume for about the 5th time. One of my all-time favorite summer chick lit reads.
eek. This sounds like a book I should read (also an emotional eater).
I am still reading My Fair Lazy. Almost done though! I will probably finish it by mid week, then I'm on to The Book Thief.
I am 12 of 25 as I have finished Indulgence in Death (so good!) and on to The Things We Do For Love-Kristin Hannah.
I'll be reading much slower now that I've started my new job. So exhausted after today. My brain hurts from all the new information!
LO has been sick so I haven't made it far with this book but I think people who enjoy art would like it as it is about an art critic and a girl who works for Sothebys and when they mention an artist's work they sometimes show pictures of it in the book.
stephy1221 - 4 out of 5 (An Object of Beauty by Steve Martin)
