Hey girl... I am currently going to an acupunturist once a week for the past month. I am not sure if it's working or not, but I will say that this is the first month when my cycle has been extremely long. We have only been TTC for 4 months, but my cycles were 26 days, 31 days, and 29 days previously... this month, I am currently at CD34 and no sign of AF yet! My boobs are really sore and waiting around for AF is so stressful.
I hate to say that my cycle is way longer because of the acupuncture, but it's the only thing that I've done differently this month. I am pretty sure I did O this month, but if I did when FF says I did, then I should have gotten my period by now. I took a HPT and one day it was positive and then the next day it was negative... so who knows! I hate to be so ambiguous and I guess that I don't really know what to tell you. I think I am going to keep going and let my doctor know what has been going on and see what she says... the reason that I went in the first place was because several people I know IRL have had success with acupuncture.
So, we'll see where it goes! Good luck and definitely keep me informed about what you decide and how it goes! GL to you!
I have a first appointment this thursday. We've only started trying for 2 months but I am already not a good waiter so I thought maybe at the least it can help me not stress. I'll let you know...thinking good thoughts for you!
Yep, I started a few weeks ago and I'm already a huge believer. I went more for my anxiety than for TTC, but I'm seeing someone who specializes in fertility and it's great. I'm happy to talk about it more in depth if you'd like, feel free to PM me!
I have a partial success story- she said she wanted to help me O a little bit earlier and today I got my earliest OPK ever. Not earliest by much, and who knows if that's what it's from, but still exciting.
I go weekly (because my insurance pays for it... woo hoo! And I also get a weekly massage right after - or sometimes before). DH and I went together this last week and they do fertility needles for men too - this time he only did our ears for fertility, but DH was saying he would go for the not fun ones (between the two holes!!!EEK!)
I say do it - if anything, it is a calming experience and a great way to kill stress, which we all need! Plus, while CAM is something that isn't widely recognized by western medicine - there are many extra benefits for the body as well! Try it! Good Luck!
I went when we were TTC #1 because I O'ed a little late (CD 17-19) and had a shorter LP (10ish days).
I started it my third cycle and that was my BFP cycle. I'll be the first to say that I might have been successful that cycle without the acupuncture, but honestly, I feel like it did help. I O'ed a little bit earlier (CD 15) too.
Whether or not it contributed to my BFP, I liked going and thought it was relaxing.

I actually had the exact same thing happen to me! I start accupuncture at the start of this cycle and usually O around CD18 - 20, and was at CD 30 with no end in sight. I skipped a week of accupuncture and O'd that weekend. Could be coincidence, but thought the timing was weird. It's disappointing bc I was loving it. If this isn't our cycle, then I'll probably go back.

I've been doing acupuncture for the past 3 months and really love it. My very first cycle that I started going lasted a really long time (55 days) but last cycle I O'd much earlier than normal (CD 20). I think that first cycle was just my body getting use to all of the changes that I made in my diet and the supplements my Acu had me taking. My luteal phase has also increased from 11 to 12 days which is great. And it is soooo relaxing!
