Charting and a Sunburn question...

I got a really bad sunburn on Saturday at the beach and Sunday my temp was pretty high.  (I'm usually in the 97.5ish range pre O) and it was 98.6.  I thought maybe I had O'd because it is that time and although I hadn't gotten a + OPK I could have missed it.  Today my sunburn has faded a little and my temp was back down to 97.6.

I guess my question is do you think I should discard my Sunday temp since it was probably high from my increased internal temp from being sunburned?  Do you even think the sunburned played a part?

    I have no idea if the sunburn could have affected your temp, but I think you should keep the temp and make a note in your chart. You can always discard it later if it looks like it was an outlier.

    I agree with pp. I suppose the sunburn could have elevated your temp - stands to reason with all that inflammation. What a stinker, sunburn is awful!

    I had the same issue last month, if you look at my chart you'll see a huge temp spike.  It was because of sunburn at first I thought I O'd and I didn have dotted crosshairs for a bit, but once I really did O my CH moved.

    I'd personally discard it. I know sunburns can cause fever so if you think it was bad enough (and it seems like it was) to raise your body temp then maybe check the "illness" box or "fever" box or whatever the option is on FF.

    I'm currently nursing a wonderful little sunburn myself after our vacation last week. I'm pretty pale normally and usually just freckle or burn really bad. I'm currently peeling all over. It's gross...and yes I used sunscreen. And even applied it every 30 minutes. Sad

    BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c)

    3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!

    Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500

    First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat

    LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

    TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

    This exact thing happened to me at the beginning of cycle 10 and yes, it dramatically affected my temp!  I woke up sweating which is rare for me.  I kept the temp, but made a note of it on my chart.

    Ditto everybody else.  I went to Hawaii and got a pretty significant burn.  My temp spiked and I did end up discarding it because it was so  out of line with my other temps, but you could also just make a note in your chart.
