beans, seasoned ground beef, nacho cheese, shreaded cheese (of any kind), salsa, lots of sour cream. mmmm ok that sounds really good! haha
I like to do them in the oven sometimes (sans nacho cheeze cuz I don't usually have it at home) and "accidentally" get a lot of cheddar cheeze on the baking sheet so it gets all nice and crispy.

I'd rather make it at home than go to a restaurant. If we're just looking for a snack - than chips, cheese and hot sauce with sour cream.
If we're getting fancy, I'll usually do fajita topping (chicken, peppers, onions), refried beans, olives, jalepinos, chipotle peppers, lots and lots of mexican blend cheese and sour cream with salsa.
Yum!!!

Vegetarian refried beans, cheese (back when I could eat it,) and olives and then I dip them in sour cream mixed with salsa (best combo ever).
One of my favorite snacks is "pink" salsa, I mix half and half sour cream and salsa, dip chips. Quick, easy and healthy(ish) because I typically use low fat or ff sour cream.

The most important thing to me, however, is that each chip is individually topped. I hate getting nachos at places where only the top layer has cheese. Chilis is good for nachos for that very reason.
I definitely prefer to make them at home so I can make sure the proportions and ration of cheese to chip is satisfactory.
I was on a nacho kick big time during my pregnancy!!!!
