Shoes that don't fall off

My kid is like Houdini and can escape any type of shoe.  Sadly we went to a Giants game the other day, wearing is stride rite shoes because they don't fall off..., and he lost a shoe.  My kid has freakishly large feet - he wears an 8 or 8.5 but really small heels.  He has other shoes like flip flops and crocs but those come off way more easily.  Usually Stride Rite has been great for me but I hate spending that much money just to lose a shoe.  What shoes do you like?

  • We are in love with Keens right now, a little to hard once tightened to get off and on herself. The key for me to keep shoes on is to get the toddler's buy in. When she picks out the shoes (which is based on whatever her favorite color of the month is) then she usually keeps them on.

  • Keens are a good idea. Target has some decent knock-offs right now if you don't want to drop $50. How about something like Converse Chuck Taylors? Those aren't too easy to get off without trying...

  • Another vote for keens. I bought a pair for L at sportsbasement. $32!! Not bad :-)
