Adding padding to play yard

hi, does anyone have a tip to adding padding to a pack n play? specifically we have the baby bjorn travel crib, (i haven't removed it from the box yet), short of shelling out $40 for the sheet that comes with it, will a regular crib sheet fit it? any tips to add padding for a 2 year old to this?

Re: Adding padding to play yard

  • We went out and bought those egg crates from walmart! It works great and really helps our 18 month old son sleep much better in his p&p! And I'm sure any sheet would fit fine

  • You can buy foam mattress padding and cut it to the size you need. Crib sheets won't work in a pack-n-play. The pockets on the crib are much deeper so the sheets won't stay put. If the Bjorn playard is the same dimensions as the typical PNP, any PNP sheet will do. They're usually $10 a sheet but you can get them at consignment stores for a couple bucks.
  • I purchased a padded mattress pad, and then I put a quilted sheet over that.  You can also add a PnP regular sheet if you want.  If Graco PnP sheets work those are fairly inexpensive.
