GTKY: Strange pet PIP

So, every once in a while I see an animal I really think is cute, and I ask MH to let me have one as a pet. My random strange pet of the day is a prairie dog.

So if you could have one strange pet, what would it be?

I actually had a prairie dog as a pet when I was in HS. His name was Cocoa and he was pretty cool! Looking back on it now though I should have never had him as a pet as I didn't have a ton of time to spend with him. He did this funny thing every time I sneezed. He would point his nose in the air and put his hands in the air and mimic me sneezing. It was so cute!

If I had to choose now to have a strange pet I would definetly pick having a couple goats. I just think they are the cutest funniest things I have ever seen! I love going to the fair every summer and hanging out with the goats in the goat barn. They all have such funny personalities Stick out tongue

Strangest pet I have had: Egyptian spiny mouse

Strangest pet I'd love to have (only not really because they dig holes and make messes and 10% of them actually have leprosy): armadillo

However, the first time I saw a (live) one, I melted. They are so cute and dumb... they make a little "hur hur hur" sound as they run away from you.

I HAD NO IDEA SUCH A THING EXISTED! MUST, HAVE!

I want a mini-mule more than a mini-horse. I volunteered at an animal sanctuary and the mini-mule stole my heart.

I know a lot of people love monkeys, so this is officially an unpopular opinion, but I hate monkeys. They scare the crap out of me. People who want them for pets disturb me. I don't want a really smart pet that can open doors and fling its poo at me and screech at the top of its lungs when I don't pay it enough attention.

I wonder if seeing that movie Outbreak when I was a younger really screwed me up on monkeys for the rest of my life.

Actually, I realized that they were pretty mean when I was watching Rob and Big on MTV. They had a mini-horse, the episode was hysterical.

I'm not criticizing your choice of strange pet (even tho it must seem that way)... it's just sooo not for me, just like owning pet birds isn't for me either.

Take heart, they are not all mean! They just have to be properly trained and socialized. Rob Dyrdek's mini was not very well-trained, I think... they let it kick and bite them. I've known some very lovely mini-horses.
