Does your child ask for/call daddy?

Lately, anytime I discipline DS in any way, or even if I just tell him something he doesn't want to hear (no, you can't have another cookie, etc.) he cries out for 'daddy, daddy!'

He sees his dad approximately once a month, for a couple hours.

WTF? I know he's not trying to hurt my feelings on purpose or anything, but it is getting really effing irritating.

I think they just play on someone else, anyone.  P does this to my mom.  I disciplined him the other day so he called "Grammy, grammy!!!"  Sometimes he babbles "dada dada" but he doesn't know what he's saying.  he doesn't know his dad right now.

See, that's what's weird. I could see him calling for 'grammy' because he sees my mom all the time, like every couple of days. But it's just weird to me that he calls daddy when he barely ever sees him. I guess maybe because my mom sometimes disciplines him also. His dad is probably the only person who doesn't, since he is NEVER AROUND. So I guess that makes sense.
