Jacob is a hot mess after vacation

We just got back from a beach vacation with my parents and my brother and his family.  My niece (5), my nephew (3) and Jacob got along so well!  They loved playing with each other.

He was totally spoiled while we were away.  He was watching Elmo whenever he wanted.  He was eating fruit snacks at all hours of the day.  He was eating ice cream.  We went to the pool, the beach, the playground, the candy store, etc all the time.  He was basically having a fun vacation. 

But coming home yesterday was more of a shock to Jacob than it was to anyone else!  He has been a whiny mess since we got home.  He normally would get snacks or TV watching in moderation at home and he's having a hard time remembering what our normal routine is.

This is going to be a fun week reprogramming him!

    Same thing here when DH and I got back from New York last week.  Reed asked me for a cookie for breakfast.  And he has been getting up at like 6 everyday.  And he whines a tonne.  I call it the grandparent effect. 

    I hope he gets back to himself soon!

    Caro was like that when we got back from the beach.  It was non-stop playing, snacking and tv watching when we weren't at the beach.

    She also slept in the bed with us for SEVEN nights while we were away.

    The days and nights right after we got back were a shock to her system.

    this is the only part of vacation i'm dreading- my mil has made it perfectly clear she plans to spoil my boys and feed them all kinds of crap when we visit them. oy.

    Oh no, this is why I am dreading this coming weekend. Hope he's back on track soon!

    Hoo boy do I not miss that.  The month after our trip with DS to the Philippines last summer was horrid.  Add spoiled PLUS jetlag.  I think I cried every single day. 

    The good news is it does pass and it is still summer where you live so you can still enjoy some of the things he misses while getting back to normal.
