I see Dr. Richard Tallman and I like him. He is kind of old fashioned (he brings in a medical bag with his instruments in it) but gives great advice and is very thorough.
North, Dr T yer seems to be our hospital's go-to Neuro Consult. We also use the other doctors on a regular basis. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's a rotation but T yer's name comes up on my orders more often than not! Central Texas Neuro
If she's needing more specialty neurosurgery recs, shoot me an email and let me know. Most of the brain surgery is done downtown St. Davids and a co-worker recently had her noggin operated on. I could get a name for you from her. stacy at nicemonkeys dot com.
My neuro, Sara Westgate, is great, but hard to get into. She is far south, but I make the effort because I wasn't happy with the other two I saw in town before her.
Late on this but my dad sees Dr. Westgate down South and he adores her. She is SO patient with him, she's so kind and takes her time answering questions and working with him and the interpreter (either my sister or they will find one for him!!). She's amazing. Lots of thumbs up for her.
I see Dr. Marci Roy and her PA Ashley. I think they are both great. They specialize in Migraines and Carpal Tunnel though.
I have also heard good things about Dr. David Moreledge and Dr. Hana Aubrechtova at Austin Neurological Clinic.
My dad USED to see Dr. Moreledge before they stopped taking his insurance and he really liked him too! My dad has epilepsy, both doctors (Moreledge and Westgate) are good w/ that area/specialty.

DH had a fantastic neuro in Austin - Dr. Shen. Very thorough and personable.
