Has anyone figured out the best place to buy diapers, wipes and formula? I've now determined that Target is better than Babies R Us and that even the Giant usually is better than Babies R Us. I'm starting to get stocked up for LO's daycare bag so I'm trying to see where most people go.
Re: Best place to buy diapers
Amazon
Sign up for Amazon Moms (google it it's free) and then get your diapers, wipes and formula on "subscribe and save" you can always edit or cancel a subscription, you aren't locked in.
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
I'm not into the mail order stuff, so I found that Target consitently had the cheapest price per unit. Be careful though, sometimes the largest package isn't alway the best deal.
I buy my diapers and wipes on Amazon.com. Sign up for Amazon mom and you can get free 2 day shipping and 30% off both diapers and wipes. For formula I had better luck at Target. I would check out a few Targets near my work for the bigger cans of formula and I usually never had an issue with using checks/coupons.
Walmart sucked at least the one near me did. The cashier never understand how to ring up the formula w/the coupons/checks.
I switched my DD to Target brand of formula - it was like 1/2 the price of Enfamil. I tried a bunch of generic diapers, but I liked Huggies best and used the costco wipes.
I just discovered Amazon mom, but I wish they'd had it 2 years ago!
BJs if you are a member....their brand diapers are like a fraction of the cost of brand name diapers and they have worked wonderfully for us since he was very tiny. Plus, they send you coupons for them occasionally. This was the most cost effective way for us.
We didn't really do much formula until he was weaned at 9-10 months old, so we never bought formula there, but they also have good prices on formula.
We just ordered 400 diapers from walmart for $56 and they delivered them to our house for free. They were Parent's Choice.
I will say though, I hate the Paren't Choice brand wipes. They don't come out "connected" if that makes sense...like instead of the next one popping out the top they lay on top of each other one by one.
I had no problem with the Target Brand diapers, but DH b*tched about them... He kept saying that they were "crunchy." (WTF does that mean?!?!) I tried to get him to explain what he meant to me but he never could. I ended up using the Luvs instead so that he would quit complaining.
We just switched to the Huggies because they have the elastic waist band. At 15 months my daughter has my figure (aka junk in the trunk). The waist band has reduced the incidents of baby plumbers crack.
Amazon subscribe & save is the cheapest for diapers, plus free 2 day shipping. But for wipes I found that Target brand's wipes are a little cheaper per wipe than any of the name brands even after the S&S discount.
Check the per unit prices. For Pampers Baby Dry sz 5, Amazon is usually 18 cents per diaper, while I've never seen lower than 26 cents at Target.
