Someone I know recently posted on FB that she can get back into her pre-pregnancy jeans.  (she is less than 2 weeks postpartum).  I am happy for her that she is already slimming down in that area, but why in God's name would you announce that on FB?  I think that is totally obnoxious!  It just seems so insensitive to all those women (many of us) who aren't back to their pre-pregnancy sizes so soon.  I just don't understand why people share stuff like that.

Re: Definition of obnoxious on FB
I was back into my pre-preg jeans within a week! Granted, I'm a size 20.
rofl....
LMAO... I know... and for the record I have no idea when I was back into my jeans. I've one year post partum and am happy with my weight and size but... I guess it just seems really tacky to announce something like that to me! And as you can imagine, yes she is like a size 4 or 2, not sure.
She's posting because she is proud. In fact, she is probably bragging - because if you fit your pre-preg jeans after 1 week, you didn't physically do anything to make that happen - it just happened on it's own.
BUT (and I'm sorry this sounds *mean* I don't intend for it to) why let someone else's life and situation bother your own? Don't feel put down by it.

Yes you are right. I tend to be overly sensitive. I know it certainly wasn't directed at me, or really anyone. These things tend to rub me the wrong way. I just... don't like when people brag or are boastful. It's my issue I guess.
It can be offensive sometimes. Bear in mind, oftentimes people who brag are trying to reassure themselves about the topic at hand or about something else that you might be unaware of.
True dat!

You may be right. I really don't know how she thinks/feels. I do not want to make her look bad when she is postpartum and probably having crazy emotions. I just found it super tasteless. Regardless, it isn't my business and really doesn't affect me right?

I'm also leaning towards she's proud. It took me 6mos to lose the weight with DS but with DD it took 2wks. Not that I posted it but I was thrilled that it happend so quickly. She's probably feeling the same way.
