Any DD's out there that already have earrings? I would like to get them done when she's young (just my preference- no flames, please). I know our pediatrician's office does it, but I don't know how old you have to be. Just wondering some pros/cons to having it done this soon? What's your experience? Any regrets getting it done versus waiting?
TIA
Re: Earrings or not?
Not for us.
I want it to be something special for us to do when she can make that decision for herself.
I got my firstborn's ears done at 2 months,
I think most places require documented records of 2 month shots but don't quote me.
She didn't even know that she had earings until she was close to one....
This. My DH, however, would rather do it now (while she's still an infant).

Ditto. I was old enough when I got mine done to remember it. Plus, it's going to have to be one of those "you can get it done if you can convince your dad first" things...because DH isn't a fan of "permanent body alteration"(i.e. piercings and tattoos), despite the fact that I've got three in one ear and two in the other. 'Course, DH just found out this weekend that there are people out there that pierce their babies' ears, and was horrified...
