My 2.5 year old DS has a habit of throwing things. We were at beach today and it was out of control. ANyone deal with this, and how do you handle?

    We are dealing with this right now with DD (2.5yrs) It's infuriating!! I tell her not to throw stuff, so she throws it harder! We have tried time outs, taken thrown objects away from her, left wherever we are but it doesn't seem to phase her one bit.  I am at my wits end with throwing and hitting.  

    I hope others have some ideas.  Good Luck!

    My DS is in a throwing phase and it's driving me up a wall.  Usually it's his own toys that he throws but today it was my camera and it took every ounce of willpower to stay calm.  I can usually tell when he's going to throw something and give him a warning before he throws "DS no throwing, if you throw you will go to time out".  This  usually doesn't work and he'll throw it anyway....then he goes to time out for 2 minutes.  After time I remind him not to throw anything.  It seems to work for the short term (a couple of hours) but the next day we seem to start all over again.....so I'm open to what others have to say!
