DS was born 6/13 at 12:11 am, I was 39w 3d. He weighed 7lbs 8 oz and was 19.5" long. Labor was pretty fast, maybe six hours from my first regular contractions. Unfortunately my epidural stopped working when I was complete and ready to push. It was the most intense, painful experience I've ever had. Luckily it was over quickly.
So far the adjustment to two kids has been pretty smooth. This was my first week home alone with both and we've managed to get out everyday so far (Costco, storytime, etc.) I have fallen behind on housework though, so we are staying home today to hopefully take care of it all.
DD who is 19 months has done well, she ignored the baby at first and now has some interest in him. No jealousy or anything. She is driving me crazy though since she doesn't talk much at all, preferring to point and shriek. I'm trying to get her to say words, but it's not working and is so frustrating. I think I have less patience now then before.
All in all it's been a pretty good week and I'm praying that it stays like this. I was worried about the newborn stage, but really the hardest part has been how time consuming BFing is. I forgot how much they sleep, which gives me time to spend with DD or get things done.
Here are some of the pro photos (our hospital has a really nice service that comes around and takes photos)
Congrats! Your DS is adorable:) I always say something has to give and for me the house cleaning is what I gave up Don't be a super mom and make the rest of us look bad
