DH and I went out for our first post-baby date night last night and it was really nice to hang out just the two of us. We dropped Zoe off at her grandparents (who were THRILLED to get time with her) and went out to dinner, went shopping for the Nook I've been wanting and got ice cream at Cold Stone. I only got anxious and tomissing her at the end. All in all, a success! The grandparents are already asking when we want to go out again. It's awesome that they are involved and trustworthy, are nearby and live close to a bunch of good restaurants!

Re: date night
fun!! grandparents rock!!
BTW, has anyone ever told you that you look so much like Maggie Gyllenhall? Cause I think you totally do!
DH and I had our first date yesterday as well. We had brunch and played puttputt, walked around the mall, and got ice cream. DS did great for my friend who kept him. And I didn't cry once! lol

Hi Labor Buddy!
Congrats on the successful date night! We did ours back when Jonah was a mere 3 weeks old, but only because our out of town family was visiting, and I knew once they left, it would take me a while to feel comfortable leaving him with friends/sitter. Of course, we were only gone for an hour and a half, and I cried 50% of the time.
Miss Zoe is ADORABLE, by the way!
Hi labor buddy!
I didn't cry at all. I seem to be odd in that I easily leave DD with DH/mom/friends with very little anxiety. It's nice on my part, but makes me feel somewhat defective and like I don't care enough. There's no end to what we new moms beat ourselves up over
