Tonight is the first night I am putting K in the crib and I am a wreck! I don't want to but I feel like there is no other option... he rolls all the time and is now rolling in his rock n play and ending up on his tummy (so no more of that), rolls in the bed so he is basically on top of me and then hits me, kicks me, and pulls my hair (this equals no sleep), and he hates his bassinet. Ugh if someone can give me another option that would keep him near me I would love it! Thanks for letting me whine.
Re: I am in tears...
I am afraid he is too mobile for the Snugglenest. I am so jealous that you have the ability to have a crib in your room. I wish K's would fit in our room.
As much as you might hate hearing this, he's probably better off adjusting to his crib now. Babies wake just as easily hearing you snore and move around, just like you do when your partner snores up a storm or kicks you. When he's in his crib, he'll have peace and quiet and you may find he naps LOADS better. I was leery to start napping my LO in her crib and letting her sleep there as well, but she naps SO MUCH BETTER and sleeps much better at night, too.
It's good for both of us. And, the longer you wait to transition LO out of your bedroom the harder it'll be to get them into their own room when you actually DO want your room back! I have friends who's sons are 1 1/2 and 2 1/2, and BOTH are still sleeping in their bed because they cry when they're supposed to sleep in their own bed. Do it when it's easier!
Come on Sticky baby!!

I agree w/ the PP who said its better to do it when they are little. I have friends too, who have a 2 1/2 yr old who will still not STTN in her own room so they just let her sleep in their bed...now they have a newborn so they are ALL in the bed. I have no issues w/ co-sleeping,. but they complain about it so that's when I do.
It was hard to put LO in her crib, but the minute I realized I could now watch TV in bed it was so much easier. She's STTN since the first day she was in her own crib at 8 weeks. I think she was waking from us movning arounf in bed. And I definitely heard EVERY peep she made.
