Personally, I don't think it matters what you call it. If you feel like you're moving from normal once in a blue moon blues towards being completely overwhelmed and/or depressed, something needs to be done. KWIM? Because yes, working FT, kids, BFing, chores, etc. can get to be too much and your body will tell you when it needs a break.
"I wanted you more than you'll ever know, so I sent love to follow wherever you go."

This.
I have no idea if I have PPD or not. All I know is that I don't feel myself and things are getting to me way more than they should. I saw my midwife 2 weeks ago and have my first meeting with a counselor on Tuesday. I am looking forward to working with her to get myself back to being myself.

I felt like I was going to knock DH's head off his shoulders, and I wanted to cry all the time. I wouldn't always cry but I sure felt like it.
About the tired part.. I feel tired all the time now that I am on meds (I am on a really low dose also). I take a nap with DD everyday for about 2 hours and she sleeps 8-10 hours at night and I am so ready for that nap time.
I haven't been feeling good for a week with allergies/cold and I slept until 11 this morning. I was awake from 7-9 though with DD and then she fell back to sleep! I'm not sure if sleeping in like that this morning had something to do with the meds or the fact that I don't feel good and have a killer headache or both.
It is always good to go get checked out if you don't feel right. I hope you ladies figure it out soon and get to feeling better!
a doctor would diagnose you based on a self completed questionnaire. if you get over a certain score they will label it as such and make recommendations either way.
they ask questions about energy levels, if you look forward to anything...etc. even if you think you *might* be depressed i would talk to your doctor about it. you dont HAVE to feel crappy, you know?

I have been really overwhelmed for the past 3-4 weeks as well. I don't think I have PPD - I think it's a combination of 5 kids, 2 part-time jobs, BFing, exhaustion and a couple other things. I was sick for a week and a half. I finally got better and then got poison ivy really badly. That is finally getting better and now AF is here - yay! I feel like I can't catch a break. I have 10 million things to do and cannot get enough done no matter how hard I try. I hope things get better for you soon (and for me as well).
