Cerclage and BM's

Please help! I just had a cervical cerclage put in about a week and a half ago and I have had trouble having BM's. I am on bedrest until I deliver in October/November. The BM's are painful and Im afraid my cerclage will come apart. Is there anything that can help?

    This is one that you probably should call your clinic about...  Have you thought about stool softeners to help things move along...  Since you're on bedrest you aren't getting the physical movement which usually helps naturally with the bowels.  Your pregnancy ?? line should be able to tell you what they recommend given your circumstances...

    I would definitely ask about stool softeners. Many women take colace during pg and drink LOTS of water.

    I had a short-ish cervix and took colace so that I wouldn't have to put as much pressure on my cervix.
