I'm looking into possibly doing this. Does anyone here make their own? Any suggestions you can give? I'm not the best at sewing so I'm a bit hesitant, but it seems like it could be a fun project.
I've made a few (fitteds, pockets, and a couple of lonely AIOs). If you're not an experienced seamstress, then I'd recommend the Darling Diapers Unlimited pattern. It's a downloadable PDF that comes with lots of directions, and I found it incredibly helpful. Now that I've made several I'd be perfectly comfortable trying other patterns, but I'm glad I started with DDU.
ditto pp. i'm a modest sewer... and i'm so glad i picked the darling diaper to start with. the instructions are VERY detailed and it was no where near as hard as i thought it would be (once i had good instructions to go by!). i think it's an excellent beginner's pattern. plus its a very versatile pattern too.

I'd suggest looking at the BCP threads tonight for pic examples of what not to do.

Ive made about 5 of my own so far and each one is different. I used just a simple pattern that I got as a PDF offline for free and altered it from there as I went along. So far NONE of the diapers are good enough for me, but they're stil cute prints and functional lol
I actually have been stewing plans for my next one for two days so that I have a decent looking diaper!

The Darling Diaper pattern is a great starting place. I also like the LaDiDa diaper pattern, It's more trim than the DDU and there are still a lot of options. I ended up making up my own pattern since my DD had such chubby thighs and it was hard to get a good fit.
