Bottle label suggestions-date & amount

My LO is in daycare and state regulations require that all bottles be labeled with the child's name, date, what it is (formula or breast milk) and the amount. I bought some awesome labels from Kidecals with his name, but am looking for an easy way to put the date and amount on each bottle. We've been using little sticker dots but they leave sticky residue and are hard to get off.  Anyone have any good suggestions?  Thanks!

  • Medela has bottle label stuff.  I've never used them, but I've seen them at target.  I don't know if it'f just for the Medela bottles or what.

  • We just use masking tape. It doesn't leave the residue and it's cheap!

  • I don't do it for daycare but for my own fridge, but I use scotch tape and write in pencil or pen. Comes right off. Even when I forget and put it in the dishwasher...still comes right off after.
  • Painter's tape and a sharpie.  Works wonderfully... no residue and even lasts through washings.

My sister used overhead projector markers and wiped them off when she was done. I used dry erase markers on my containers of breastmilk.

  • I use kiddotags.com.  You can customize so my labels are pre-printed with her name, breast milk, Date:______ and Amount: ____ so I can fill it in.  I really love these labels.  I tried the masking tape, etc. and they left a residue on my bottles.
  • I meant to add that the labels are under the temporary section on kiddotags.com.
