    ---Updates

Well had a week where I was super excited to ttc.  Geez...seems one week it seems too overwhelming...next week I am ready to jump aboard!

---Question:  Will you use charting or ovulation kits when ttc?

I have been charting (well recording when I get my period and ovulate) for a long time already.  I charted for about a year before we ttc with DS.  Actually I find it helpful just to know when I am getting my period, etc.  Honestly, my cycle is very predictable, so I am hoping that makes ttc "easy."

    ---Something fun about you!

I love to garden. We have a huge garden this year and it is super exciting.  Cucumbers and raspberries are coming in.  And we planted a ton of pumpkins!

  • Can you add me to the list? I've been responding to these posts for the past couple of check ins, but it looks like I never got added. Thanks!

Updates - We had originally talked about TTC this summer or fall, but I think we are going to wait until early next year. While I don't want a huge age gap between DS and his sibling (DS will be 3 in September), I just stared a new job five months ago that I absolutely love. I want to get a little more established in my job and be there for a little longer before getting pregnant.

Will you use charting or ovulation kits when TTC? I'll use the CBEFM I used when we were TTC #1.

Something fun about me  - I swear I'm a really fun person, but it's been a long day and I'm drawing a blank right now.

  • Can I be added to the list?  We are finally on the same page of having a #2.  I don't think I will chart or use OPK's at least initially.  I didn't do either when TTC DS.

  • ---Updates: still fall---Question:  Will you use charting or ovulation kits when ttc? Probably not, I got pregnant with DS1 one month before graduating college and with DS2  14 months later when I stopped breastfeeding. DS2 just turned 1 and is still breastfeeding so we will see what happens when I wean. ---Something fun about you! I love doing art with my boys, the messier the better, I look for art activities online and in magazines for new ideas. We do so much I have stopped feeling bad about throwing some of it away.
  • Updates- Just like meg&jesse one minute I can't wait and the other I don't know how I could manage with a toddler and an infant. Right now, I can't wait to see DD as a big sister. We have decided to put back ttc a few months because DD will most likely be starting preschool next fall and we want to make sure that goes smoothly without the stress of an infant. So we will ttc in the winter.

Charting or ovulation kits- Nope, we don't plan on it. I keep track of my body and cycle so I have a pretty good idea when I ovulate. So we won't be charting or using OPKs at least for a few months.

Something about me- I am a wedding coordinator for our church. It is a lot of fun, and I love helping the brides and families have the best day possible.

  • Can you add me? Thanks. I also keep going back and forth but I'm starting to lean towards yes. We might start trying this Sept. I have been charting and using my CBEFM just to make sure when  Ovulate and stuff.

Something about me?? hmmm lol  Husband and I are both teachers here in NYC and after Tuesday we are off together for the whole summer with Olivia YAY

  • Update: I am really struggling with my timeline here. For a while, I had been thinking I wanted to ttc in the fall, to square away some work things of my own and get DH on board. As a result of that, I somehow inadvertently became tied to this idea of my kids being 4 years apart and now it's really hard to picture a different scenario. The reality, however, is that it is about 90 percent certain we'll move to France for a year with DH's job in January. So now I don't know if I can bear to put TTC off until fall 2012 (so I would give birth back in NY), if I want to wait until we come back to the US to even TTC or if I want to just plow ahead and TTC this fall anyway and try to figure out all the giving birth in France stuff as soon as I get there (a plan I think DH will not like very much). Help! I have gone over dozens of different scenarios in my head the last couple of weeks. DH keeps asking why I feel like I need to figure this out right now, in June, and I really don't have a good answer. I guess I should let myself see how I feel in the fall, but I can't stop obsessing. (Forgive lack of paragraphs, I am on my phone). To answer q's: I'd like to chart just because my I haven't gone back on BCP since TTC DD and it would be nice to chart to avoid until we're ready, but I haven't been able to chart consistently due to travel. Something fun about me: I used to dance flamenco for many years.

  • no updates....will probably use OPKs (I love to poas..)...I love to plan vacations...even if they are wayyy into the future...
  • I'm late to this week's check in but the update is that DH really is saying he is ready. But we'll see... I feel like he changes his mind on the days that are tough with DD. I know we both want another and just want to hurry up and conceive so we can stop wondering about the "what ifs" and just start dealing with them.

I never thought about using OPKs until I read this post. But, now I'm intrigued. We didn't chart last time and I don't see myself sitting down to research the specifics of charting at this point.

Something fun about me - DH and I still on occasion go to punk rock shows and just went to a great show on Friday night.
