Success after IF

Would you buy used bottles?

We have a TON of Dr. Browns that Gwen will not use. She used them for about a month after the NICU, but then developed an aversion to the nipple. I have them here, and am considering putting them on CL or ebay. They are well taken care-of, and look barely used. I think with my first I would not have considered it, but with new nipples, and a good washing (when I bought them) I would consider buying them.

Thoughts?

Re: Would you buy used bottles?

  • Try it - or you can always donate them to a women's shelter if there are no takers.

I tried giving away formula on CL - no takers!

  • probably not...i don't know why because I might buy used dishes/glasses for myself but bottles just seem more intimate....someone else might think differently though....

I totally get what you are saying. I did list them, but specified that nipples were not included.

  • I sold all of my Dr. Brown's bottles a couple months ago.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    I personally would not.
  • Definitely list them. There are lots of people who will want them (minus nipples).
  • Absolutely. I'd of course buy new nipples and sterilize them, but why not? It doesn't bother me.
