I got a massage today...AMAZING! I did not want it to end.
The other times that I feel better is when I work out. I have been trying to meditate and just to stop and focus on my breathing. I am also considering accupuncture for all my anxiety.
My husband called me out last night saying that I was acting like I did when I had my huge anxiety spell 2 years ago and had to go on meds! Yikes...I need to get it in check.
What are you all doing to feel better?
Re: What are you doing to feel better?
Things thats have really helped me this past month,
Blogging, it is hard to go back and read the early entries but they show me just how far I have come.
Bumping, paying all of the kindness and support forward has been amazing for my self esteem.
Getting lots of sleep. When I was pregnant I had terrible morning sickness in the middle of the night. Now I am trying to cherish the nights of sleeping in bed rather than on the bathroom floor.
Because of the set backs I have had (having to have a second D&C) I have not been able to exercise but I am really hoping that this is finally over and I will be back to running soon. I am planning on starting the "couch to 5k" as soon as I am cleared to exercise again.

I'm trying to get back into my regular running routine...finally had a really good run today and a good mileage week this week. I'm also drinking--not heavily (I realize that sounds bad) but being able to have a beer with friends at our end of the year (I'm a teacher) parties/gatherings has helped. I'm also just spending lots of time doing things with DH that we enjoy--going out to eat, going to the movies, etc...which feels normal and that makes me feel better.
Also, my friends at work who knew that we were pregnant got me a massage gift certificate after the m/c, so I am saving that for when I am finally done bleeding/spotting and I can't wait!

PAL/PGAL Welcome
Running again. (although I feel like crap from blood loss)
Drinking wine/beer again. (thank god antibiotics are finally done!)
Indulging in amazing coffee again. (missed you, caffeine!)
And blogging/writing about it all.
Also, I think that staying busy and focusing on other 'goals' besides the ultimate of getting knocked up again really helps.
I think it's great if you are having success with massage and I'm sure your hubby is just worried about you, but keep doing what you need to do.

I got a massage today too! My sister got me a gift certificate and it really was so relaxing!
Exercising: I had been exercising a little while pregnant, but once I found out I had a m/c, I started working out much more frequently and intensely. I am feeling great though from working out and I've gotten several compliments so that makes me feel great too!
Bumping: Coming here and to TTCAL has been really good for me to have a safe haven to go to.
I scrubbed my house and threw a party. Well, the party was planned before my m/c, so I had to go through with it. But it did make me feel better.
I've been drinking a ridiculous amount of diet coke. And resting (I'm still in my PJs).

This is a great question to throw out there-THANKS! I have been seeing an acupuncturist-it has been hugely helpful in reducing anxiety and regaining a sense of internal balance. I go every week. Other things are exercising, gardening, cuddling my sweet pomeranian, calling friends whenever I get the urge-staying connected with people is so important for me. And splurging on things like nicer quality wines, and not beating myself up if I want to have another glass of wine
Also, my husband and I have had to cancel so many vacations over the past year because our first pregnancy was very bad, ended very badly, then our second one was quick, and ended quickly but I have had all sorts of complications that have forced us to stay pretty close to home. So we cashed in our miles, and are going to Hawaii for a few weeks. If we are not starting a family as we had hoped, then dammit we are going to enjoy our freedom!!!
