    I've seen some really beautiful pictures taken during birth. I don't think I'll be hiring someone to take pictures there though, mainly because I don't know a photographer comfortable enough to be in that situation.

    bottom line, beautiful idea but not for me.

    I don't plan on doing this.  I just can't imagine sitting down and pulling out the ol' birthing photo album to show to people.  It would be excellent to show to future boy/girlfriends of LO though.

    I've hired one. I think it is a beautiful moment and I just cried watching the one Mike&Care posted. I cannot wait, I know they will be images I treasure forever.

    I didn't with DD, but I really want to this time around. I did a natural birth and was so focused on relaxation/my body and whatnot, I kind of missed out on what all was going on around me. I wish I would have seen the look on my husband's face when he saw her for the first time, how he was looking at me in labor, our first moments as a family, etc. I wouldn't be an album I'd "whip out" to show people, although some pics might make it into the baby album, but something private to keep as an intimate reminder of one of the most beautiful days of my life.

    I have a friend that did this but she didn't have the photographer in the room during the delivery. I do think that it is absolutely beautiful though! I don't no if I will do it because I don't really know what I would do with pictures of me with my legs in the air, they certainly won't be going on the wall. However, they aren't gross at all and most of the time are taken from behind the mom-to-be so nothing graphic. I think it is really neat!
